Pharmacy Renewals

Your Arkansas Retail Pharmacy license will expire on December 31st, 2021. The renewal fee is $300.

Renewing online is very easy and extremely fast. You’ll receive an email confirmation that your renewal has been processed (please keep this until your new license has arrived) and you will receive your new license in the mail within a few days.

Please note that any facilities that do not have a Pharmacist in Charge listed for their facility will not be allowed to renew until a Pharmacist in Charge is named.

If you have a change of Pharmacist in Charge, please fill out the “Change of Pharmacist in Charge Form” – it can be found online here: https://www.pharmacyboard.arkansas.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Change-of-PIC.pdf

If you have questions regarding a change of ownership, please contact Nancy Sweet at nancy.sweet@arkansas.gov or call her directly at 501-682-0194.

If you wish to cancel your registration, please notify the board via email, fax or mail.

To renew online:

  • Click here to renew online. You will need the facility’s license number and facility ID to log in. Both are listed on the renewal postcard that was sent, it is also printed on the bottom half of your current license. If you do not know the facility ID, call or email the Board – please have the license number of the facility ready.
  • Employment Tab:
This lists the individuals that we currently have listed as working at this facility. It is the responsibility of the Pharmacist in Charge to make sure that this Board roster stays updated with employee additions and terminations. If any changes need to be made to this roster, please send them in writing to the Board via email, fax, or mail. Please note that the individual listed as Pharmacist in Charge may be listed twice – once with a start date for working as a pharmacist at the facility and a separate date for when they started working as the Pharmacist in Charge. If you have any questions, please contact the Board.
  • Address Tab:
Our computer system tracks two addresses: a physical location and a mailing address. All Board correspondence, including the license, will be sent to the mailing address. We also need the pharmacy’s physical location. Your mailing address and physical address may be the same. The system will not allow you to update the physical address. If you have any changes that need to be made to the physical address, please contact the Board. We have found email to be a very effective means of communication with businesses. Please include an email address for the facility, company representative, or pharmacist in charge if one is available.
  • Renewal Tab:
Have a debit card, credit card, or check available. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We also accept e-checks; all you need is a check. Enter an email address on the payment screen and a copy of your renewal confirmation will be emailed to you. Keep your confirmation statement until you receive your new license in the mail.

If you do not receive your license in the mail within a week, do not assume that it has been renewed. You can verify that your license has been renewed online – your license must have the current status of “active” with an expiration date of 12/31/2023.

Renew before February 1, 2022, to avoid the $20 penalty. If not renewed before March 1, 2022, a $40 penalty will be assessed, and if not renewed before April 1, 2022, the license will be cancelled.

If you have any questions regarding your renewal, please call us at 501-682-0190, email us at asbp@arkansas.gov or fax us at 501-682-0195.
