Pharmacist Renewal Information

Your Arkansas Pharmacist License will expire on December 31st, 2021. The renewal fee is $150.

If you wish to cancel your license, please notify the board via email, fax or mail.

Renewing online is very easy and extremely fast. You’ll receive a confirmation that your renewal has been processed (please keep this until your new license has arrived) and you will receive your new license in the mail within a few days.

To renew online:

Click here to renew online. Enter your pharmacist license number and the last four (4) digits of your social security number. If you do not know your license number, you can look it up online here.

Employment Tab:

We are having data issues with employment displaying correctly. You may have your facility check to see if you are listed on the roster, as that information is appearing correctly. If you have had changes within the last two years, or you are unsure if your employment is listed correctly, please contact the Board.

Profile Tab:

Please verify that all information is correct. Please note that your mailing address (where you receive mail) is available to the public, as well as your home and work telephone numbers. Your physical address, email address, and cell phone number are not. (You may use a PO Box or your employment address as your mailing address. This is where all correspondence from this office will go, including your license and next renewal notice.)

Continuing Education:

To renew inactive: This is a non-practicing license and CE will have to be submitted if you’d like to return the license to active status. You cannot act as a Pharmacist in Charge for a pharmacy holding an inactive license.

To renew active: You must enter 30 hours of CE. A minimum of 12 of these hours are required to be live and 12 of these hours are required to be ACPE. (NOTE: If the 12 live hours are ACPE approved, both requirements will be considered met.)

  • If you have 30 hours of ACPE CE (12 of which are live) check the box that says “I have completed 30 ACPE accredited CE hours (which includes 12 hours of Live CE)” and continue in the renewal process. The Board will obtain your CE records from the ACPE monitor.
  • If you have less than 30 hours of ACPE accredited hours, check the box for “I have completed less than 30 ACPE accredited CE hours” and enter the number of ACPE hours that you have obtained. Use the online form to add the information for Board approved CE programs or placeholders to be reviewed by the Board in addition to the number of ACPE hours that will be obtained from the ACPE monitor.
  • If you are a new 2020/2021 graduate who has licensed by exam or a 2021 reciprocity licensee, please use the applicable information in the table on the CE tab as a placeholder for the number of CE hours that you are not required to submit, in order to meet the 30 hour CE requirement needed to renew. You may use this in conjunction with the “Less than 30 hours of ACPE” accredited hours option above if applicable.

Additional Renewal Options:

  • Administer Immunizations Certification – There is no charge to renew this certification. Please make sure to check the box that attests that you have the 2 hours of required CE to continue to hold this license.
  • Nursing Home Consultant Certification – This license WILL NOT display to renew. The regulatory statutes have changed and we do not have the authority to accept payment for Nursing Home Consultants. This certification will become obsolete when the rules and regulations are updated to match the statute.
  • Preceptor License – The renewal fee is $20. Preceptor licenses are only required to supervise foreign graduates. If you are only acting as a preceptor for UAMS or Harding students, this license IS NOT required.

The Pharmacist license has been updated to show all of your additional licensures / certifications on one license. You will only receive one license. If you renew your Authority to Administer Immunization Certification or Preceptor License, both of these licensures will show up at the bottom of your Pharmacist License. You will be able to post this one license in the facility to fulfill ASBP regulations for having your licenses posted. A wallet card is also on the bottom of your license. This is for your convenience and does not serve as an “official” license.

Disciplinary Questions:

Please be sure to carefully read the two disciplinary questions. Any “Yes” answers to either of these questions will require written documentation to the Board regarding the disclosed disciplinary actions. Accidental “Yes” answers to these questions will also require a written response to the Board. Please be sure to send any disciplinary documentation to the Board for review if you do answer “Yes” to either of these questions.

Have a debit card, credit card, or check available. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We also accept e-checks; all you need is a check. Enter an email address on the payment screen and a copy of your renewal confirmation will be emailed to you. Keep your confirmation statement until you receive your new license in the mail.

If you do not receive your license in the mail within a week, do not assume that it has been renewed. You can verify that your license has been renewed online – your license must have the current status of “active” with an expiration date of 12/31/2023. Please contact the Board at 501-682-0190 or at to verify that you have an active registration.

Renew before February 1, 2022, to avoid a $20 penalty. If not renewed before March 1, 2022, the penalty will increase to $40, and if not renewed before April 1, 2022, the license will be cancelled and a reinstatement application (which will include another criminal background check) will have to be completed to receive an active license.
